What are some of the key skills you will need to work in People Resourcing?

You will need to be a confident and capable communicator, to deliver our key messages to clients and candidates alike. Engaging effectively with people is crucial, across our customer base (clients and candidates), especially when it comes to selling our ‘headhunt’ service to clients, and then selling the job itself to people who are not actually looking for a new job.

Other than that you will need good time management to get the job done, and the commercial skills to ensure we provide cost-effective yet profitable business.

What Pennington Choices does differently to other businesses?

People Resourcing is both rewarding and frustrating in equal measure. Rewarding in the satisfaction of finding the right person for the client, and in finding the right opportunity for the candidate. Frustrating because we are dealing with people, whose decisions we may not understand yet need to respect. Clients and candidates like the way we work and appreciate that we are different from the recruitment industry standard.

Our unique offering is that we are a property surveying and consultancy company that recruits; we are experts in our client’s sector (social housing) and understand their challenges, meaning we save organisations and people time and money.
